Denon DJ Announces New Endorsees
Denon DJ Europe has announced a line up of professional endorsees of its DN-HC1000S universal interface for Serato® Scratch LIVE(TM). UK DMC Champion JFB, hyper-dope UK garage DJ / producer Deekline and new wave UK house duo Jack Beats are all enthusiastic endorsees of Denon's super-tough Scratch Live sub controller.
2007 UK DMC Champion JFB plays across Europe and the UK at drum & bass and hip hop events, packing out major London venues like End, Fabric and Mass. As well as showing off his battle routines and video scratching, JFB has played with nearly every underground artist under the sun over the years, scratching with musicians in bands, touring festivals and doing all kinds of gigs. The DN-HC1000S now has a permanent place in his live setup: “The HC1000 is a wicked little Serato controller and really tight for performing live with,” he says. “Love the fact you can assign any cue point on the fly in sync, which is quality when you’re sampling live.”

DJ, producer and artist: Deekline’s hyper-dope UK garage-breaks hybrid, I Don't Smoke, broke the British top 20 back in 1999, and blew up all over again last year in a 10-year anniversary re-release. Deekline has worked with or remixed the likes of DJ Assault, Fast Eddie, Kid Sister and Freq Nasty, and works tirelessly to push street level bass music artists like London's Ivory and Shystie, via the – no less than – six record labels he currently oversees. This year Deekline will be spinning his iconic brand of bass music in the hottest clubs across Australia, Canada, Europe and America, as part of the biggest world tour of his career, taking with him his Denon DN-HC1000S … “The DN-HC1000S is a really cool controller with great layout. It’s a quality solution for keeping your hands off the laptop.”

Jack Beats represent part of the new wave of British house music: wobbly basslines, big breakdowns and edgy accapellas, cut, copied and pasted together. This duo demanded attention after their gob smacking take on Boy 8-Bit’s anthem Fogbank dropped earlier this year; following it with bass-heavy collaborations with Deekline and Wizard, bombastic remixes of Trip’s Who’s That? and The Black Ghosts I Want Nothing, and a pop dance transformation Epic Last Song by Does It Offend You, Yeah?
Jack Beats have just completed tours of the US and Australia with the DN-HC1000S: "The DN-HC1000S' are Sick! We use them globally at every gig. Loads of artists are asking about them at our live shows."

With simple plug and play connection (with USB MIDI bus power), the control layout of the DN-HC1000S is immediately familiar to Scratch LIVE users; the two sided A/B desk split and mid console file selection and cue control section for selecting and loading tracks, with File, Browse, History and Prepare keys for rapid navigation through the Scratch LIVE menus. Five Hot Start and three Sampler buttons are featured on each ‘deck’, along with Track Reverse, manual Loop IN/OUT – with Exit/Reloop – and Auto Loop – with functions. Despite its fully professional build specification and über quality controls, the DN-HC1000S is a surprisingly affordable piece of hardware, at just £145 / €149 mrrp (ex vat/iva).
